Critics see Trump attacks on the ‘Black Smithsonian’ as an effort to sanitize racism in US history
Civil rights advocates, historians and Black political leaders sharply rebuked Trump on Friday for his order, entitled “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.” They argued that his executive order targeting the Smithsonian Institution is his administration’s latest move to downplay how race, racism and Black Americans themselves have shaped the nation’s story.
“It seems like we’re headed in the direction where there’s even an attempt to deny that the institution of slavery even existed, or that Jim Crow laws and segregation and racial violence against Black communities, Black families, Black individuals even occurred,” said historian Clarissa Myrick-Harris, a professor at Morehouse College, the historically Black campus in Atlanta.
And yet....he is getting away with it. I am surprised that there is not more and larger protest growing on. Have we become a country of milky toast??? So many are just taking what he is dishing out. If he gets away with all this, and if he, and let's face it, will find a way to get a third term, the country will be cemented in a dictatorship with no coming back.

DeleteThis festering piece of flesh that is our president will not be satisfied until he gets in a Tesla and drives the country over the edge of his flat world, just to prove he can. He is oblivious to the fact that he is no longer in command but is the pathetic puppet of the architects of Project 2025 and the alien from South Africa. If any of the leaders in the opposition are unable to put a stop to this carnage and destruction, and rein in the monster, our future does not look well. I can only say that not all of us will go peacefully into the darkness with him and his handlers.
