Not to make light of the Navajo culture but could that be a Navajo drag queen? Seriously, most Native American tribes accepted and revered these "two-spirit" people. It was only after colonization and religious teachings that they became lesser people and ostracized. And there is once again where religion teaches hate and intolerance instead of love. I think this guy in all his glory is wonderful!
The article I stated said in Navajo culture the two-spirit people were often celebrated as teachers, artists. visionaries and medicine people. Two-spirit people can be straight, gay, bisexual or asexual. Welcoming all their people in the past, as it should be for all of us now.
