OMG! That explain all of this twisted story. I was surprised that the «origianal» Village People would sing at a felon inauguration. Thanks for forwarding this.
Why would conserva-nazis want anything to do with the Village People, I thought they hated such groups. Remember it was conservative groups that railed against Elvis in the 1950’s and the Beatles in the 1960’s, and encouraged kids to destroy their recordings. Something about rock n roll groups misleading America’s youth and being part of an international communist conspiracy. :\ I guess conserva-nazis wish to be something they never were, cool and with it. -Rj
Thanks for that video! I was not aware the "brand" Village People had been changed.
I wonder if any of the T people ever stopped to investigate the history of the YMAC and gay guys in the 1960s and 1970s? PLUS really listen to the words! That it could be a place for gay guys to meet others of their orientation, in a religous-orientation organization? And, of course, T seems to love the song. LOL
It seems the the "dissident" member of the group, Victor Willis - lead singer of the song YMCA, was the one who favored and supported the use of the song by Trump and his team(s), although he first spoke in favor of Kamala Harris. Why the change of heart? The reason becomes obvious through this quote from an interview: "The financial benefits have been great as well as Y.M.C.A. is estimated to gross several million dollars since the President Eclect’s continued use of the song. Therefore, I’m glad I allowed the President Elect’s continued use of Y.M.C.A. And I thank him for choosing my song." Which in Mr Willis' language is to be translated by "Wherever money came from, it's still money." To think he had the audacity to also say "…music is to be performed without regards to politics." Hypocrisy seems to be his strong suit...
Now a fake Village People who likes Trump???? WTF
