I remember that awful day like it was yesterday. Big Dude
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I don't have to. September 11 was horrible enough.

A great man BUT the other side of him was dark as well---Some even said the presidency was stolen----Know your TRUE history---
ReplyDelete..."But the white whale here is proof of a stolen election. This book does not provide it. The case it puts forward is circumstantial — and nothing new. Much is made of “suspicions” in Texas and “irregularities” in Illinois as if such charges are, in themselves, dispositive." from the review of the book Campaign of the Century by Irwin Gellman. Jeff Shesol reviewer. NYT January 2022.
DeleteGellman is a Nixon scholar.
Interesting to note that JFK was our first Roman Catholic president and many, many people had a problem with that. How times have changed. Catholics supported "it" by an 18 point margin over a more qualified candidate. Abortion issue? Probably. Kennedy had his flaws but was pure perfection compared to this abomination that they elected on Nov. 5th.
ReplyDeleteGreat men are sometimes greatly conflicted. It was an idyllic time, and there will never be another like it. "Those were the days, my friend; we thought they'd never end."
ReplyDeletehammerhead - I've said that many times over the years.
