Agnes Moorhead - grand actrice formidable
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Jones - grand actrice de caractère
Dolores Moran - actrice fille glamour

To the 2 people that stopped by and rated this post as "awful," there is so much more to life than cock-sucking and butt-fucking and Ricko's blog has always been proof of that. When a person loses his appreciation and respect for other people and their accomplishments, it diminishes us all.
ReplyDeleteAnd to Beau Mec's comment, I'll add that I've seen all of these women in the movies, thanks to Ted Turner and TCM and a collection of over 350 VHS tapes which I am now rewatching in my retirement. Agnes Moorhead in a still from "The Magnificent Ambersons" and watch what acting is all about in "Mrs. Parkington", where she plays a secondary part with aplomb and a French accent. I did not appreciate many of the Carolyn Jones movies from the 1950s, but she sure brought life in a deadpan way to her role as Morticia in the TV Addams Family. Dolores Moran in the classic noir movie "To Have and Have Not" with Bogart and Bacall. All worthy of praise and thanks to Rick for sharing these ladies of the Silver Screen with us.
Oui, tellement plus dans la vie.
DeleteMonsieur Rick provides a fine blog :)

Milleson - *blush* Thanks.
DeleteWasn't it The Big Sleep? She played Bacall's little hopped up sister...
DeleteThat was Martha Vickers as Bacall's sister, and she does resemble Dolores Moran
DeleteAgnes Moorhead was a great actress and personality, I remember her more from her role playing Samantha’s mother in ‘Bewitched’ in the 60’s, just shows that good talent can transcend any medium!
ReplyDeleteHugs to all Bob in 🇬🇧
Thanks for mentioning her standout character on Bewitched, from which I know her best (since I'm far from a film buff). Weirdly, I keep confusing Agnes Moorhead with Margaret Hamilton, the witch in the 1939 film Wizard of Oz -- my mind captions the wrong image with each of their names. Thanks, anon, for helping improve my grip on reality, LOL!

ReplyDeleteAgnes Moorhead was great in the movie " Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte", which she was nominated for an academy award for best supporting actress. Oh and of course as Andora in Bewitched (though she said she did not enjoy the role. I know little tidbits from reading about her. From also what I read a very intelligent woman. Oh and did I mention she was born in my hometown, Clinton Massachusetts.
