Strange experiment in auto design and not too feasible as far as buying tires for this car. Adler was best known for their front drive Adler Trumpf and the streamlined Adler 2.5 type 10 autobahn cruiser. Adler of Frankfurt Germany were better known for their typewriters, until the Japanese came along with less expensive and just as well made typewriters. Adler lasted from 1880 until 1957 and built their last cars in 1940 due to WW2. -Rj
Why the extra wheels? "A Berlin firm has produced an eight-wheel car that is said to be virtually shock-proof and comfortable over rough roads at high speeds. The photograph shows the new car on a country road. The position of the front wheel illustrates how the car will avoid bumping. The wheels will pass over the holes in the road, and not into them." https://www.oldtimessa.com/2023/01/eight-wheel-car-adler-diplomat.html
