2024.1117.0002...
I love how the tiny house fad has been taken over by the luxe crowd.
I've been impressed by the luxury items in these tiny houses, too. Their efficiency of space use for the intended purposes is impressive. As the basic price escalates! No need for 4000sq ft houses to have a really nice abode!
Just another product that will become unaffordable to everyone except the rich. You Americans better start demanding government housing, as developers only build luxury housing that very few can afford, even when they’re given tax incentives and red tape short cuts. Soon you won’t even afford to live in your cars, then what are going to do. The greed you put up with is your undoing.
This house could be very useful to escape wild fires or hurricanes or floodings etc.. I like the design but i wonder if there is enough spaces to store my clothes and many other personnal items. too bad we cannot see the upper bedroom. In 1977-82 I bought a mobile home (10f x 70f) and I needed to add an annex to be able to have more space to store clothes and have a freezer too etc..
I believe tiny homes can be affordable, but not the ones hawked by the movement's public reps. Their articles feature tiny little fantasy castles on wheels, as heavy as a trailer loaded high with logs so you won't actually be traveling with it, porches which waste 1/3 of the trailer, but are still too small to actually use, and cost as much as a small house already. They use camera tricks to make them look vast inside, but it's more like being in a walk-in closet surrounded by doll furniture. NO there isn't enough storage room for your food, clothes, tools, or anything else. You need a second "tiny home" to store all of that, lol.

ReplyDeleteWell, they've got to spend their money on something, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. Affordable? And what do you need to haul it? WOW.
