I realize that the first one is probably the only one to fit the tag of "Old Times", but the rest are at least 75-85 years old...
All stunning. I adored the 'new look' - used to collect dresses from that period when perusing estate sales. Such lovely lines.
ReplyDeleteI did not see this post coming from you, Rick. As a bit of a fashionista, I've been fascinated by women's fashions for many years; who doesn't appreciate a woman wrapped in some gay designer's latest offerings? With the advent of the cable and internet revolution, I got hooked on CNN's "Style with Elsa Klensch and was devastated when they canceled her show. Now I find myself mesmerized by the Fashion Feed segments on YouTube, which cover the runway shows of most of the designers of our time. Some of these people really know what makes a woman look spectacular(and some that make them look positively ugly). And they also cover the men's runway shows. Of particular interest to some of you might be the Dolce & Gabbana "Ars Sartoria" presentations, especially the 2022 Siracusa, Italy extravaganza. Beautiful and handsome young men covered in jeweled vests and gorgeous fabrics. It won't disappoint if you have interests in this subject.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that the '50s were that long ago, isn't it?
