Jonathan Bailey
Jerry and I just finished watching "Fellow Travelers", and now I have a new man-crush.
I so agree with you. He's been fascinating me throughout the episodes. His sidekick in the series is a very handsome actor, but Jonathan Bailey striked me with his eyes and look. Even when wearing 50's not-so-sexy glasses he remains totally eye-candy. Not to mention he is a talented actor. I do hope to see more of him in forthcoming series/movies. Cheers to you and Jerry!
Glad you liked Fellow Travelers. Really excellent show. It's a wonderful adaption of the novel by Thomas Mallon. I read the book several years ago, and when it was announced as being done for Showtime, I wondered how the writers and director would adapt such a large amount of material into a coherent film or series. It's a beautiful adaptation and needs more attention to that fact, For those who didn't experience the 50's or who would like to know more about the convoluted politics and witch hunt of that time, I highly recommend the book. The series captures the tone, feeling, and secrecy of the time period very well. Matt Boomer is my crush, and his ability to be the "bad guy" and yet charming is a piece of skilled acting.
As Taurus said, it's a long period of time and you can feel these big "time jumps" in the story, so the story doesn't flow smoothly. There are too many jumps, but the main characters somehow manage to connect it. Visually, it is excellently done, the sex scenes are on the fine line of excitement and permissibility. Both actors are desirable to the point of pain!! I noticed Johnathan right away in the first series where he appeared - Broadchurch. It was hard not to notice his eyes. He is now a respected acting name, he also acts a lot on London stages (completely naked) alongside some world-famous names.
Sicko - so do that for all of us.... If you read LGBTQ magazines you can find some of his interviews in Attitude...very handsome and smart young man...
Sicko - that is ok, I just read if they have some interesting guest...UK Attitude is worth reading....and something for your eyes :-))) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuYA_FqqbrY
so nice!
ReplyDeleteThat is on my watchlist....

ReplyDeleteopps it's Bomer. But the misspelling is a real Freudian slip as that's what I'd like him to do to me.
