Completely Bullshit!
ReplyDeleteVoting Red next year TRUMP 2024. Let’s go RED WAVE,
ReplyDeleteThe Republicans have been playing the very long game, for decades, to get to where we have come to be now. From placeholder candidates in places they had no way to win in, in the earlier years. Both sides gerrymandered, but NONE as much as Republicans in the last decades as they finally got enough candidates to do such, it seems. Then here comes "Winner take ALL Trump" and puts it on steroids, seemingly AND includes the SCOTUS in the mix, too.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans advocate the "free market system" for business, so lets do that for politics! Every county is its own voting precinct, with the number of "places" on the ballot determined by population. Candidates from THREE orientations, "D", "R", and "I" or "N". Let the competition begin! States run the elections, under strict federal guidelines and rules as to "open" times and number of consecutive days open. No "early voting", just voting. "At the curb" voting for those needing it, with one group associated with hospitalized patients and such, who would be accompanied by law enforcement officers as "impartial third parties" for verification. ANY violations of the "public trust" would be jail time, no exceptions.
The original orientation of "Separation of Church and State" needs to be maintained and strengthened. It's fine for a pastor to preach the gospel, but NOT specifically mention any ONE or group of candidates which align with such. If names should be mentioned, the organization's tax-exempt status would be questioned by Federal operatives. NO exceptions. Mentioning religious principles is fine, just no names . . . with is NOT a violation of "free speech rights", just good business sense. Religion should NOT be involved in voter influence, letting their congregation make their own free-will decisions. ANY candidate found, by multiple fact-checking groups, to be making "mis-statements" would be disqualified immediately, no matter their political party affiliation.
"Free Speech" does not allow for the "legal" hollering of "FIRE!" or "HE'S GOT A GUN!" in a crowded theatre, for example. Nor should it be used as an reason to allow bullying or defamation of character on social media. Nothing which would motivate the recipient to self-decease, for example. "Free speech from the pulpit" is still allowed, just no specific names or political affiliations involved, which CAN be done. No religious non-profits which engage in political "manipulations of voters" allowed, either!
These things ARE possible, IF Republicans will allow it. Let THEM prove they are the best candidates rather than artificially stacking the chips via other methods. LET THEM actually fix something that benefits us all,
Voting BLUE next year. BIDEN/HARRIS 2024! The BLUE WAVE is real and it's coming! Let's hear it for YELLOW DOG DEMOCRATS (including yours truly) who would vote for a yellow dog before they would vote for a republican!
