6 election night takeaways: Democrats win big, but GOP holds Mississippi
Abortion rights and historic wins: key takeaways from the US’s off-year elections
Well, it's pretty good news. It's a shame Mississippi still can't get enough people to realize they've, once again, voted against their own interests -- especially considering the clean drinking water issues in Jackson that Reeves and the GOP refuse to fix.
ReplyDeleteAnd let's not sit on our laurels and become complacent.
ReplyDeleteThe reactionary forces of this country would like nothing more than a dictatorship. When they talk of our country as being a Republic, they desire a Republican dictatorship. Those jackals, like others who admire dictatorships, would feed their own to the wolves. They like to follow the Nazi pagebook of lies and deception and feeding peoples base fears. Worst of all Republicans dance on the graves of our war dead who fought for the freedoms we enjoy, freedoms the Republicans would and are taking away. -Rj
Pat - Yeah, maybe if they were better educated they'd vote differently.
ReplyDeleteRJ - Absolutely. Complacency now would be our doom.
One small step for democracy....
ReplyDeleteFor Mississipi: they deserve what they voted for.
If they never see what's going wrong in their state, well let it be.
I'm happy about it, but I just hope that the Democrats find a strong candidate for the 2024 presidential elections (less than a year away!!!)
ReplyDeleteWell, I stand corrected. Mississippi GOP pulled a fast one on the only majority Black district and "ran out of ballots and ink to print any more" 2 hours into the election.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it figure?
Methinks Garland needs to go after this one.
Here in Seattle, the activist-left have apparently been given the boot. Can't say I'm less than thrilled.
ReplyDeleteImagine, trying to paint an opponent in Seattle as a Trump supporter. A liberal Seattle Democrat is like a raging socialist anywhere else in the country! (except maybe Portland).
The signals I'm seeing is that the Republican party is in much more of a mess than they would like to admit to. Their choice for Speaker of the House is just one evidence of that. Plus other reports of "weak ones" who needed to hang on Trump's coat tails in order to get elected. NOT on their own merits, but his. Let them go down with his ship!
ReplyDeleteBiden's "body" might be getting old, but his BRAIN still works great as to figuring out how to get things done. Trump's brain is failing to keep his mouth in line, but that could be a good thing, in some respects, if it gets him locked-up.
I like Biden for many years and still do, but I also understand the age concerns. The fact that ONE of the 14 state constitutional amendments in TX failed, which had to do with the mandatory retirement age of state judges NOT be extended to 79 can be a problem with Biden, but Trump too.
I'm hoping that should things come down to a Joe v. Don thing again, that independents will look at the even-handed sanity of Biden vs. the chaos and circus of the Donald's existence, voting for sanity. Unless the Democrats pull a magic rabbit out of the hat that will TRUMP all of Trump's actions AND WIN the election.
VOTE BLUE, No Matter Who!
Seing the GOP debate last night, seems that the Tuesday election was a waking call for some of them like Niky Haily.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that Christ Christy isn't doing better in the poles because he is the best candidate against the orange con man.
The abortion will maybe the turning point as a part of the voters are women even if some of them are «crazy trumpists» which I cannot understand much.
For Biden, yes his body is old but his brain and experience are a warenty to have a sane man in office, not a hater in chief and brainless spoild child.
what about Tenneesee?
