  1. What you see in Texas today is the result of continued Republican Governors and such after the George W Bush Governorship. GWBush cared about those things and worked to make things better, but the later Republican operatives went too far in so many ways, which puts TX in the current mess it's in.

As the current school situation has allegedly gotten so bad, with for-profit charter schools and home-schooling seeking public tax money to run their operations, the Governor seeks to distribute tax money to private companies "to make things better", so "parents can choose the best school for their kids". The best schools are in the larger metro areas, by observation, where tax money is the greatest. Smaller rural schools are hurting.

A "back story" is that the Governor has promised many religious leaders (who also operate private schools) that he will get them money to help fund them. Separation of Church and State, in the name of education, is being degraded by "hidden agendas", it seems.

That state thart want to be alone, leans toward sessassion from the Union but will whine when a catastrophy happened (winter issue in the past) did accept the FEMA help etc...

Well, hypocrite is the only word here.

  4. An incredulous situation in the Lone Star state.
As Lee Grant's character said in 2 great quotes, in the 1967 film - In the Heat of the Night.
1-'what kind of people are you ?, what kind of place is this?!'
2-'I will pack up my husband's engineers and leave you....to yourselves !'
Some of the states are so reactionary and off the wall you have to wonder what type of people they REALLY are, and how any company can do business in any of them. -Rj
