re: the last one: It's possible that on the side opposite the camera is a path leading to the firewood. What I don't understand is why, in a place surrounded by woods, there are no windows on every side of the house; none are visible in the photo.
Purple Wolf - I thought about a path arrangement, but they'd have to bend down and lift the wood out. Not very practical. Maybe the view is on the opposite side.
In the 7th picture down you can see the woodpile is accessed from the kitchen door which opens to a small patio where the wood is visible. Very remarkable concrete home, kind of cold and stark for my taste, but certainly it's beautiful modern architecture.
Love the one with the pool (of course).
ReplyDeleteAccessing the firewood has got to be by yanking from the bottom, I guess. Doesn't seem all that safe to me, though.
I was wowed by the fact that in the photo above it, not a single leaf managed to fall into the water! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteLeftField - Those leaves don't seem real. Each one is cut flat along the side where the stem should be.

ReplyDelete..Oh, I take back (partially) the comment about the windows. There is one, but it opens to the hillside so there's not much of a view.

Milleson - Thank you! That link is a terrific exposé of that house. I think I'll turn it into a post tomorrow. It's much too late now, it's past 9:00pm!
