Whenever I see these memes, I start thinking the deep thoughts, trying to desperately find some logical meaning to the fables from that book. When you find the logical answers, you discover the illogical nature of the words.
ReplyDeleteCase in point: Noah's Ark
Putting aside the absurdity of waters covering the mountain tops, consider the construction of the ark. Sealed inside and out with pitch, only one window that was not opened for almost a year.
Rain for 40 days and nights, then a boat trip for another 10 months until the window was opened and the dove released to find dry land. Now consider spending all that time in a hermetically sealed space with thousands of animals pooping and peeing along with the crew. Seems like the methane from the cows alone would have killed everyone aboard. Where did the manure go? With no refrigeration, wouldn't all the food have rotted away? And how do you stow that much food on a boat for that length of a voyage? And pardon me for deep thinking, I'm thinking all vegetation and foodstuffs wouldn't be palatable after being submerged in water all that time. What did they eat after they exited the ark?
The believers will tell us to not question the workings of god. Sorry, too late for that. I'm thinking god made a BIG, BIG mistake giving humans the gift of free thought, the power to think for themselves and to form our beliefs using reason, logic and observation. If that was not his purpose then he should have made us all ignorant, naive and easily manipulated.
I've seen the light and its wisdom doesn't shine from a book of fairytales.
It's only because those bananas were too ripe.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - repugliCONs are doing their best to make us all ignorant and easily manipulated.
ReplyDeletelarry - Haha. I get it.
The first one nails it to show how ignorant are those Evangelical Christians about the real people of the Bible.
ReplyDeleteThey are eager to deny liberty to races and religions other than them but are easily spreading bhe Bibles words without having no knowledge of who wrote it.
The people in the Bible are Middle Eastern colored people who were living over 2000 years ago and weren't that educated too.
Again, uneducated guys trying to impose crazy beliefs to other with hate..
