Portland Pickles vs Walla Walla Sweets

Jerry and I went to this ball game a couple of evenings ago because the senior group we belong to was able to get free tickets, which allowed us to sit in a "VIP" section. I'm not a sports fan of any kind and had never been to a baseball game before. However, Jerry grew up one block from Yankee Stadium, and he even sold refreshments there for one summer as a teenager. He thought it would be fun to go, so I agreed. He had a lot of fun visiting with all of the lesbians there. We were the only men. It's really not something I need to do again. (BTW, the Pickes were ahead 8-0 in the 5th inning, when we left.)

  1. When I was 19, I was basically dragged to an Orioles game. Knowing nothing about
sports, when the 7th inning stretch came, I thought the game was over, and ran
for my life for an exit. Someone in our group ran after me and brought me back,
saying the game wasn't over. I was not happy, nor have I ever attended a sporting
    event since.

  2. GF, that's great!

    Baseball isn't my sport.
One afternoon, while visiting my sister in Texas, I splayed across the couch watching a football game.

"Who you rooting for son?" asked my father passing by.

"Uhm, the ones in the gold pants."

  3. You kids just crack me up and put a smile on my face with every picture you share with us. You demonstrate better than anyone I know, the joie de vivre to which we are all entitled. Sporting events for me, not so much, with some exception for football, swim meets, track and field, gymnastics, you get the picture. The visuals are more stimulating. Basketball used to be fun to watch, the shorts they wore in the 40s through the 70s were very short with a peek of a jock butt strap occasionally. Yes, you nailed me, most sports are duller than dull except for the physical excellence this gay guy's eyes sees. Call me a pervert, I'll wear the title proudly.

  4. I like baseball, football, hockey, and college basketball. Not that I was the least bit athletic when I was young. At age 35, I learned to play racquetball, which I loved. I liked the casual attitude among the heterosexuals, being naked in the locker room. I wonder how they would have acted had they known I was homosexual. Still, sports can be interesting and fun, even for some of us homosexual men.

  6. Too much fun. And what a great pic. I'm glad you went... get out of your comfort zone and explore - especially the free stuff. Thanks for sharing this :)

  7. What a fun picture! I've never been in the sports myself. I'm more into being an athletic supporter!

  8. How wonderful, here in the UK I too have never been to a football (soccer to you on the US) cricket match or rugby, never really floated my boat at all sport events, but I do like a toned, sports man, preferably a naked hairy swimmer! Regards Bob
