What the fucking hell?...
Last night, and this morning, while stealing - er, borrowing - images (that I really don't need), it required a new approach.
Now I have to "Save As" instead of right-click and drag.
I've concluded it's a Firefox thing.
Rick
Must be Firefox because I browse for a long while with Microsoft Edge and still can «Save As» with the right click.
ReplyDeleteInternet providers often have some twists to their users.
They think that's some improvements but most of the time it's just fuckin anoying..
I've been harvesting images for years using the "Save As" option in Windows. Only thing is that with the more recent versions, a drop-down box happens with the downloaded items in it, asking me if I want to "open file" or not.
ReplyDeleteJiEL & Cdadbr - I use a Mac and used to be able to click and drag. Oh well, it's just another little thing to get used to.
ReplyDeleteI'm a "Save As" type too. Because I use Windows and sometimes Chromebook for pics. But I understand where you're coming from.
ReplyDelete@Ricko,
ReplyDeleteWell now it gives me more reason not to have an Apple Mac or any other Apple devices.
My first computer back in 1988 was a MacSE and did a lot with it but it was expensive for the time $4 500 Can with the point printer and two flip-flop readers.
I have some friends who have IPhones and it's a pain in the A..SS..
LOL!
Sometimes it's tough to understand why changes are made to software when things are working just fine. I always chalk it up to a department full people trying to justify their positions.
ReplyDeleteAnd with Firefox, if you can't right click save...try Ctrl plus i. Chose Media, and scroll down the images to find the one you want.
ReplyDeleteAnon@11:25pm - Oh my, what a lot of steps. I'm glad save as works for me.
