2023.0621.0002...
(You may recall that I posted this last meme several days ago. I pulled it to post here because I ran across better memes to go with it.)
In Province of Québec where I live, before the 60's, the Catholic religion the main one here was banning some books and we were living in what we called «the Great Darkness». We were then isolated from the rest of the world.
Then we elected a «Liberal Party» in office which made it possible to put religion out of our lives on the public and politics decisions. The 60's were called here the «Quiet Revolution» when as an example too religion out of our schools which were mostly held by religious brothers or nuns.
In 1967 in Montreal we had our «Expo67» the world fair and then we were seeing all what was happening in other nations and Montreal became a real internation city.
Here banning books would be like returning to those black eras when religion was blinding us from reading books to educate us and make us see other views of the life.
