Strange that this country was founded on religious freedom. Even if that meant "no religion". Yet we NOW have lawmakers seeking to enforce THEIR religion on others, as a matter of laws. They have weaponized "inclusion and diversity" to be bad things which must be (according to them) leading to the downfall of the nation. THEY need to re-study their history and THEN look in the mirror. What they claim others are doing, by not doing as certain groups perceive they ought to be doing (being like them), is really what THEY are doing. Only thing is they will never figure this out! As they continue to use "their religion" to tell everybody else how to live their lives.
ReplyDeleteWhere did all of this defective thinking come from?
last one: so true!
ReplyDeleteCdadbr - They're ignoring the original intent of the founding of this country the same way they're ignoring the intent of their book of fairy tales.
ReplyDeleteGAY-Men... Allie Jackson!
ReplyDeleteThe Puritans came to America seeking freedom of religion - yes. But the freedom they sought was the freedom to practice a FAR more strict, cruel and punishing form of Christianity than Britain would broadly allow. They sought to follow the Bible Word-For-Word - thus the name: Puritans. Pure in their devotion to the Word of God. (In short - lunatics.) So it shouldn't be at all surprising that these sentiments are still running amuck in this country. It's the disease we brought with us from England!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that last quote by Allie Jackson! Thanks, Rick!
Jimbo - You are very welcome.
