ReplyDeleteThe poor woman has acromegaly. This is excessive growth hormone production due to a pituitary tumor. Nowadays it can be diagnosed and treated with drugs. Surgery and radiation treatment can be added if necessary. But once bone changes occur, they cannot be reversed.

ReplyDeleteA strong, gutsy woman that did what she had to do, and ensured her beloved childrens' future. I would think she didn't want anyone's pity then, and can't believe she would want it in death either. She's a REAL hero
