  1. I don't mind billionaires. I only wish they'd learn to spread the wealth to help the less fortunate. I mean, at least Warren Buffett and Bill Gates give away billions every year. And isn't it interesting that they still have billions?

  3. Let me get this out of the way, I believe in capitalism BUT with guardrails.

Speaking from the viewpoint of a soon to be 66 years old, I am just tired of the rich shitting on those below them. It is all about amassing more money and power. I believe how you treat people less fortunate than you is a true test of character. And it is not looking good for the rich. Like that saying of how you treat service people really shows who you are. Really, how much money do you really need?

The Biden administration is about to release its budget as a starting point for a conversation about spending in the next fiscal year. Oh boy!! Get the popcorn.

Our country, the USA, could be so much ahead, better, as compared to other countries-solar, with electric cars, speed rail, housing for ALL,better-designed roads, a better safety net for those who need a hand up... It appears those with money what to declare the narrative and demand the status quo.

A few starting points-budget/policies wise-that I would like to see urgently addressed:

*Bring back the regulations preventing stock buybacks. This was rolled back during the Regan administration.

*Close the loopholes in taxing the rich.

*Mandate companies to pay their fair share of taxes-without loopholes and whatnot. Let's start with the tax rate before Regan got involved-48%

*Stop taxing social security benefits. This was stated in 1984 under Regan.

*Spending on the military has to be aggressively addressed and sound decisions made. The US Treasury is not their piggy bank.

*Allocate fines that match the size of the company. A million or so dollar fine on a company raking in billions a year is coffee money.

    *Studen loan forgiveness. Nothing mealy.

*Free education up to a bachelor's-to include trade schooling. Invest in your citizenry.

*Incentives for going green-this includes persons, counties, cities, states...

*Move forward with a beefed-up IRS to ensure the US is collecting what it should.

*Address the housing need-unhoused and those struggling to maintain a roof over their heads. An increase in rent to the proportion of the increase in the cost of living should be the base. Who in the hell can afford a rent increase of thousands. Greedy bastards. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I could go on. I think you get the point. If we take aggressive actions to collect all monies where we should this would go a long way in balancing the budget and or at least tilt the books towards the positive.

    Go, Uncle Joe!!

  4. Love that second one. Here in MN, the Governor is proposing at 25% tax on billionaires. I think Biden was proposing the same thing. Watch the US go Red State as Elon, Bezos, et al. value their money over the well being of the people who make them rich.
