#4 is the Cleveland Clinic - Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Lots of folks here think it's pretty ugly. I think it's pretty cool!
ReplyDelete4th picture---You see, Ukraine, you don't have to wait for a Russian air strike to have buildings that look like this. Here in crazy, whack-a-doodle America, we build them that way from the beginning. Personally, I like the design of the building, but not for the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas. Some other business application perhaps. If I had a brain disorder I would be reluctant to visit that facility, for treatment or research.
ReplyDeleteThe second to last building is so weird that I had to find out more. It's the Cleveland Clinic Lou Rovo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of patients with cognitive disorders. The building was designed by architect Frank Gehry. Personally, I wonder whether the bizarre building was designed to make people looking at it think they have a cognitive disorder and therefore need treatment, just like Anacin commercials in the 1960s were designed to give you a headache so you would go out and buy Anacin. -Larry
ReplyDeletePat - I think it's cool, too.
ReplyDeleteLarry - It's cool, yet odd, for its purpose.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - I rather think that way, too.
ReplyDeletelove towers. Other buildings are too bizzarre, imho.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the old shot of Times Square! Thanks, Rick!
