Drivers warned they could be fined £5,000 for wearing winter clothes behind wheel
"Driving in outfits that impact your driving ability could cause an accident. Any piece of clothing that impairs your vision or prevents you from using the car's controls, could lead to a £5,000 fine and potentially three points on your licence."

OMG! IF this is in UK, they are nuts.
ReplyDeleteHere in Montreal and mostly in Canada we can drive safely our cars wearing some winter outfits. Anyway, we have good heating in cars and heating seats so when I do a long road, I take of my winter coat.
This is so ridiculous.
JiEL - It sure is ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteRarely do I get political in a posting. BUT FUCK OFF!!! One of the stupidest fucking things I ever read.
Now, I can see making sure you clean the snow off the top of your cars and your front and back windshields.. BUT FUCK OFF, telling what kind of clothing to wear in the winter when driving.
Rick feel free, not to post my comment if you must. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood. I'm going back to read about Eclipse the dog.
Scott - It's okay to swear here.
ReplyDeleteUnless you let your car warm up before leaving (and that means burning more gas and affecting the environment) and unless one has heated seats and steering wheel, some winter items are needed. These rules are illogically thought out. The road police are now telling one how and in what to drive. What's next? There are people who don't have effective heaters in their cars (think poverty) so what are they to do?

ReplyDeleteThanks Rick, don't know why I lost it, when I read it, Oh yeah I remember know!! It's fucking ridiculous, like you said Rick. But you held you cool better than me. I just can't imagine a cop stopping someone in Massachusetts in the winter telling the driver he or she is wearing bulky clothes, and giving them a warning or ticket.
I'm still shaking my head!!!
Over and out about this, UNLESS they make it law here in New England!!
But... what about putting on my mascara? That's still okay? Right?
ReplyDeleteTaurus9311 - Yeah. Instead of making it a damn law, why not just have public safety announcements during the winter?
ReplyDeleteScott - Crazy laws have no limits.
@ Upton - You're good to go with that...and lipstick! 🤣
