Even if I had that kind of money, this seems uber-ridiculous to me. Did you notice the narration never mentioned anything connected to the U.S.? I rated this post 5 stars for truly defining the exaggerated excesses of Capitalism but give it zero stars for its concept.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, don't know why I find this video so entirely disgusting. Must have not gotten up on the capitalist side of the bed this morning.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about this. It seems like a cool way to spend retirement, but who the hell has the money? Evidently enough to keep it afloat.
ReplyDeleteUne sorte de réserve pour animaux rares en voie de disparition.. parce que mal adaptés...? Un zoo en fait ,de bon soins , de belle cages et des curieux a venir les regarder.....
ReplyDeleteIt may only be affordable by the 1% but it aint very exclusive. 350 residences - sounds like a 1% ghetto.
ReplyDeleteOmg. Insane.
ReplyDeletePat - This one is just a concept. But there are others in operation right now.
ReplyDeleteLeftField - I find it disgusting as well.
ReplyDeleteAnon@7:10am - Interesting observation.
Anon@8:24am - *chuckle*
An attempt to escape climate change?? You can run but you can't hide.
ReplyDeleteIt's an attempt to escape taxes.
DeleteCanoeToo - You got that right!
ReplyDeleteMilleson - Ridiculous is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteMaddie - Insane is accurate.
And while the endangered species of 1% too rich animals are putting an option on their next zoo cage (I liked Anon's analogy), so many people doing to actual work cannot even afford a decent place to live in, if no place at all.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like what Evangelist preachers dream of at night: their own fancy version of Noah's arch.
What the ad doesn't care to mention is that there won't be any such entertainment to go to once part of the planet is flooded, but much to be wary of wherever they try to accost: famished people tend to be, let's say... biting.
As much as I like conceptual thinking, this kind tends to bring nausea in me.
Laurent - I totally agree.
ReplyDeleteLeftField - Yep. That too.
