  1. Un a few words, Thank You for this. She's like losing a member of the family.

  3. What a Great Lady, she will be truly missed. In the movie "Blue Hawaii" she played Elvis Presley's mother, she was 36 and he was 26! She played women that were older than her real age! "Murder She Wrote' is shown daily on one of my channels!

  4. Despite her jaw-dropping legacy of performances, I will always see her as Aunty Mame. And then Jessica Fletcher. Thanx for posting. (And I, too, watch reruns of Murder, She Wrote).

I agree, Rick, Angela Lansbury a wonderful women. I used to go over my best buddy's house, have a few drinks and watch "Jessica Fletcher" work her magic on "Murder she Wrote". RIP Dame Angela Lansbury.

  6. Luv & Purple Wolf & Scott - Seems we all love Murder She Wrote. It's a comfortable show without all the blood.

  7. She was very famous in Italy too, as Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote.

  8. Oh no! How sad to loose such a beautiful person. Because she must have been so. She couldn't have performed and make us feel so close through her each and every roles without being a nice and cosy lady herself. How I wish I could have met her.
Being English herself I often thought that 'Murder She Wrote' was kind of her own snubby blink to Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. And what a fine one it was!

  9. A great dame, for sure. I just feel lucky that I got to see her live on stage a handful of times. She was extraordinary.

    Thanks, Rick!
