It's the same slogan every election. Nothing changes. last election I said I wasn't going to vote, but I did. This time... no. The only way the country will change is to sterilize all registered republicans and their children. Stop the cycle. Fight fire with fire. In two generations, they'll be history. Sound like Hitler?... sure, but it's a much more beneficial endeavor than eliminating a race of people because of their birthright. I'm serious. ...Other than that, you know I feel love in my heart for everyone. Uncle Vic
Uncle Vic - Please, please, please vote! Not for repugs, of course, who want to destroy this democracy similar to the way Nazis did. But for the ones who are NOT banning books and taking away peoples' rights. This is a very pivotal time. Please reconsider, and VOTE!
Dear Uncle Vic, If you come back and visit this post I hope you will reconsider your decision to not vote in the upcoming election. When I read your response, sadness came over me and a fearfulness overtook me. To put it bluntly, your current attitude is precisely what the t***p rep****can party is counting on, a large segment of the Democratic voting bloc, weary from all that has occurred in the last six years that they feel disenfranchised and a vote doesn't count. Your vote will count, Uncle Vic, when added to my vote and Ricko's vote and all the people's votes who read this blog are our greatest power to win. This election must be an overwhelming collection of votes that will probably be challenged but will ultimately bear out that we will have won and are on our way to ridding this country of the vile vermin so proudly on display in today's GOP party. I do not consider myself an uber-patriot, I served 8 years in the Navy in the 70s and have voted in almost all elections since that time. Mom worked at the polls in those days and instilled in me the importance of my one vote obligation to democracy. My Stars and Stripes flies proudly every morning around sunrise and comes down every evening at sunset. It is the symbol to me of what my America truly means; out of many, one; all men(and women) are created equal; live and let live; respect everyone's rights; BE FUCKING KIND TO ONE ANOTHER! It really is up to you, Uncle Vic, it's your decision to be that ONE vote that may decide the preservation of our democracy. Yes, one vote can have that power. Please exercise your right and obligation to vote BLUE, no matter who. We're all counting on you. Sincerely, an Uncle Rick to my nieces and nephews.
And Rick, if you need to move this comment to another location in the hope that Uncle Vic will read it, feel free my friend, I know you realize the importance of voting in this pivotal and critical election.
All true. I just wish there was a way to convince the Repugs of all that.
