  1. In Province of Québec we are in an election mode which will come to the voting day on October 5.
We are a 8 million populated province and we have 5 parties running for that election.
The parties are putting upfront their diverse policies like economy, health care, ecology for cleaner technologies or to make better ways to help the poorest of us to go through the inflation etc..

NEVER they will insult of bash over their adversaries.

Lately in Canada and the provincial scene we had those kind of «trumpism deplorables» (yes we have those thugs influenced by USA's ultra extremists) that are threating some candidates and even that one in Alberta (our Texas here) who followed Mrs Chrystia Freelan near an elevator screaming agressive words. He was arrested and will be prosecuted.

What it did say is that now our official candidates or government ministers will need police protection.

Social media's garbage is now a danger to democracy even here in Canada where we thought we were a «civilized» country.

  2. JiEL - Unfortunately, unchecked cancer will spread. Even to Canada.

    Big Dude - Absolutely.

  3. Yes, unfortunately it is crossing the US border, mostly in the most «con-servative» province: Alberta. What is sad is that province is almost like Texas with big oil industries and very rural religious people.

The differnce with USA is also the way we do our elections which have an independant election commitee all around named «The Electoral General Director» who is a neutral group looking that ALL our elections would be legal and fair.

As I told before, we don't have only TWO choices on our ballots. For our Province de Québec next October election we have the choice between 5 parties going from REAL left popular party to FAR right conservative party.

In Canada we have the «Canadian Liberal Party», the «Canadian Conservative Paty», the «Natinale Democratic Party», the «Canadian Green Party» and, surprisingly the «Block Québécois» who is a sessionist party for the independance of Province of Québec who elected around 4 deputies for two decades. It's there to promote Québec Province to get out of the Canadian federal country and become a country of itself.
You must know that Québec is a French speaking province which always struggled to maintaing our language and identity surrounded by Anglophones from the other provinces and even USA.

  4. I take some offense to JiEL's comment about Alberta. I live in Alberta and not everyone is like a Texas Trump Republican!

  5. JiEL - Yes, I knew Québec is French speaking. Now, Luv Chocolate would like to have a word with you.

Luv - Generalizations are never good. I'm guilty of it by putting all repugs under the same umbrella. I'm trying to change that.
