I didn't have to think twice, knew this tribute would be coming from you soon. Such a beautiful woman and a credit to women of all colors. And so nice of you to do this when we lose our favorite people. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteShe is part of my teenage times as a fan of Star Trek.

Kissing Captain Kirk (William Shatner) was the first interacial kiss on TV.
May she rest in Peace.
Milleson - You are very welcome. She will be missed.
ReplyDeleteJiEL - I remember that kiss.

ReplyDeleteHeard of this sad news in the UK this morning with great sadness, a beautiful lady in so many ways who will be greatly missed, her legacy and memory will however remain. Rest in peace dear lady. X
ReplyDeleteNice tribute, Rick. She was a beautiful, classy lady, who was ahead of her time. She will be sorely missed. :(
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to learn of her passing. She was a beautiful woman and a good actress. It will be a sadder planet without her.
ReplyDeleteEveryone - I agree with all of you. She was very amazing.

ReplyDeleteMay you rest in peace Nichelle Nichols. What a beautiful women inside and outside.
She was suggested by Dr, Martin Luther King, you must stay with the show, (she was thinking about not staying) and stay she did.
Scott - I was not aware of that until Jerry - and now you - told me that. I'm glad she stayed.
ReplyDeleteVery sad. Seems Martin Luther King was a big fan of hers and the reason she didn't quit Star Trek and return to Broadway after season #1. She ended up being quite the activist... for blacks and lesbians. Thanks for the photos.
