Scott - I'm always surprised at how comfortable military men were with nakedness.
Recalling my Navy days during peacetime, I had my mindset and priorities changed in basic training to not think of myself and my needs, but what will be the needs of your assigned group of comrades. It's a matter of discipline and safety for the group. With a few exceptions, there's no time to think about cocks and butts and messing around, even if that were possible. In WWII the soldiers fighting in the Pacific, and to some extent in Europe, thought little of personal hygiene because of the continuous battles for days on end. When there was a lull in the fighting and these makeshift showers and baths were available, getting the stench of war off their tired bodies was a luxury and a time for camaraderie with your fellow soldiers and shipmates. Again, the priority was soap and clean water for a good cleansing, not whose naughty bits would be tempting. We owe such a debt of gratitude to all these brave unnamed men. And to the courageous men and women fighting for Ukraine's sovereignty.

That comfort with nakedness ran through the 60s. My high school swim classes were done in the raw, we swam naked at the YMCA, and nobody was hung up. He'll, my swim teacher had a magnificent dick, and never seemed to give a damn because he expected is not to give a damn. It started changing in the mid-70s. Too bad.
