ReplyDeleteThe democratic system is broken. Has the "great experiment" failed? I should like to think not, but present events have me convinced otherwise. Plus, we have a populace that cannot or will not take responsibility for their own behaviors and act out like tantrum-throwing children and leaders unwilling to exert any sensible authority (other than worshipping totalitarian ones). Wisdom, reason, sanity seem to have deserted this society.
ReplyDeleteTaurus - Sanity has, indeed, deserted this society; the great experiment has failed; and the oligarchs have won. To them, nothing matters as long as they get to exert their will. (I'm not in a great mood right now, sorry.)
