2022.0608.0003...
This was the scene awaiting Jerry and me when we went to the clothing optional section of beach on Sauvie Island yesterday. Usually, this is sand all the way past the fallen tree to the left. You can see Mount St. Helens in the distance. We moved to higher ground further downriver and spent a nice couple of hours there.

OMG - what happened to the sandy beach?
ReplyDeleteSauvie Island (Collins beach) is hands down one of my favorite places on the planet. So glad you were able to enjoy some time there.
ReplyDeleteChris - We both like it more than Rooster Rock on the west side of Portland.
ReplyDeletePat - We were told by someone out there that water was being released from the Bonneville Dam east of town.
ReplyDeleteDamn...I hope it doesn't wash all the sand out.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery Rick, glad you and Jerry had a nice time.
Ah Spring with all its beauty and widely fluctuating River Levels!! Glad you had a Second Option available. I can see why you would enjoy visiting this place. Really lovely. Thanks for yet another picture from your special place. Be Well Men!!!
ReplyDeletePat - Nope, there will still be plenty of sand after the water recedes.
ReplyDeleteScott - Thanks.
Fred - Looks better with sand instead of water. :-)
Wow. Early there. We aren't seeing the typical high waters this spring, here in Minnesota... not even the Mississippi. Kizzes.
