Education is the way that leads to FREEDOM and open minded people.
ReplyDeleteOur occidenatl civilisation is helping other 3rd world countries to achieve good education to free their people and give them hope for a better furure.
Sadly, in USA your are doing the reverse to enslave normal people and make dictator in office. Ignorant people will be easier to fool and rule over.
For the language one, it's so special as we in Canada we have two official languages: English and French as the first people who founded our country are first ones from France than from England.
We have pride when Canadian can speak both languages fluently.
More, many schools here are offering Spanish as a third language to learn in their curriculum.
To us knowing many foreign languages is a big plus and we see it as a way to learn more about other cultures.
Remember when in USA some government officials were speaking in a good French and some ignorants were joking or laughing to them.
JiEL - You kinda missed the point about the language one. You forgot that there were a lot of indigenous people in Canada long before the English and the French. It's not just the U.S. that wiped out the First People.
ReplyDeleteNo dear, I understood it but I wanted more to emphasize on how some americans are not liking that Spanish language is becoming more and more used in USA.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a bit sad for us, French speaking people, is that many DVD's or Blurays have English and Spanish to choose on.
But it's not all DVDs but for us, the ones that have a French translation is one made in France which is awful for us Québécois.
It's similar to you listening to Australian English.. Not easy.
For the indegenous languages, for sure they were here before us and we did bad things to stop them learning or using their mother languages.
Must say that here, many indegenous people of different tribes are putting in place some education facilities given by their eldest so their customs and languages are not lost.
JiEL - I liked your example of listening to Australian speakers. It ain't easy for sure.
