The politic situation isn't the same here in Canada.
Even if Justin Trudeau was voted back in office and his party is minoritary, he can govern anyway because his policies can be voted in a majority with some alliances with some of our 3 other parties.
The NDP and Block Quebecois are more alike the Trudeau's Liberal Party so if he puts bills that are appealing to those two, they will vote for it.
The issue is that the official opposition party is the CC, Canadian Conservative Party. But their numbers of reprensentatives are outnumbered by the other ones. So, up here, Trudeau can govern in a better way with the help of more progressive other parties.
You'll NEVER see a Liberal guy go against the policies or bills of his own party. It's call the «party line».
The more I see all of your non sense ways to do politics, more I think that you'll have to change that old antique Constitution.
The two parties way to govern is obsolete and shows now its limits.
Also, why having GOP and Dems on ALL level of your governement and even in the SCOTUS or any courts in USA.
Our courts bottom to the top are, here, NON partisans and have no right to show their politic choices. They remain «INDEPENDANT» from the legislative power.

You're on the spot Rick as we are having more immigrants coming to the «Chemin Roxane» border and those are now coming from South America and Middle East and Haïti.
There is a change in where those are coming from.
Around 50 to 100 people a day are coming to that illegal entry to Canada.
Vertmont State has now put in place some rules to avoid some people making money out of those poor immigrant and limit the transport fees by taxi or bus at $90 per person.
Now the federal governement is going to restrain those entries with the help of USA's governement on immigration laws.
So you did think well as now many are using USA as a entry country to come illegally to Canada.
