Last photo taken from the space shuttle is the crater lake that was reveiled in the 70's as the Manic5 dam was in fonction.
Manic5 now named Daniel Johnson dam for that province of Québec Prime Minister who died there. It's the world largest multi arched dam in he world. One of our many dams that give us our clean hydro electricity.
This is part of a large hydro eletricity dams on two rivers: the Manicouagan and Outardes rivers. Those were built in the 60's-70's and after hydro Québec went to James Bay to build many other dams on La Grande river and after in Labrador for Churchill Falls.
There are more than 3 000 lakes and 2000 rivers in our province of Québec.
We're producing the cleanest electricity and the less expensive too.
Hydro Québec is also exporting lot of our clean electricity to Ontario, New Brunswick, New York, Mass, New Jersey and in some eastern states.
