#1-Always amazed at how well these birds camouflage themselves into their environs.
#2-The hard job of the emperor penguin adult, working tirelessly to keep the chicks alive. Admirable parenting skills.
#3-Just watched a rerun on PBS about these amazing evolving birds. Worth reading up on their life and adaptability.
#4-Pink flamingos against a snowy background. I've never seen them in those surroundings. Breathtaking color!
#5-OMG, did the photographer catch that owl in the most opportune moment in time.
Such a beautiful selection of our feathered friends today, Rick, well presented.

The last one, the white owl (harfang des neiges in French) is our national bird in Province of Quebec. I saw some of them many times even in a city.

The are famous for the silence of their flight that helps them to catch mice or rodens.
