Again and again I'm always flabbergasted to see how the voting laws or voter supression is manupulated by those «Retrumplicons» states to «rig» the next elections so they could win the majority in the chambers and be able to make their racist and pro wealthy white straight Evangelical candidates in office.
In such called democratic country that is supposed to be the beecon of democracy in the world it's very desapointing and even scary. It looked more like what happened in the 30's in a Germany fascist times.
You would never see such manipulation of the voting system in other democratic coubtries in the world, surely never in Canada.
Also your heavy polarization in only two parties in every level of your country is making it worse.
We have multiple parties in our two level of governements,federal and provincial but not necessaraly affiliated to each other. We're going to have city mayors election in all our towns here and NO ONE is related to a high level of governement. The city parties on the ballots have no affiliation to any other parties.
We also don't have «conservative or democrat» judges. Our judiciary system has to be neutral and a judge or lawyer is obliged to remain neutral and has to never tell about his political preferences.
Our Senat is different than yours in its fonctioning way but as our senators are named by the liberals or conservatives we know how their votes will go. But this changed in the past years as the members of our federal Senat are now free of any party allegence and free to vote the laws as their conscience tells them or by our Canadian Constitution. Senat has limited powers here and there is no Senate in the provincial legislatures.
Saw that news about the Idaho-Oregon and North of California wanting to be part of Idaho to avoid the «liberals» of their more democrat parts of their states.
This is so ridiculous and it shows how retrograd and white supremacists are living in those rural places.
Evolution in the 21st century isn't there for many in USA..

Why aren't some of these rethugliCONs kicked out of Congress?
Why aren't Dems using tools available to them to get laws passed without the assholes?

JiEL - I read about that too. Some people think a civil war is coming, especially since all the nut-jobs have most of the guns.
