Those are neat posters, reminds me of the "Rosie the Riveter" poster from WWII. Have seen PSA from the Dept. of Health airing lately on TV to get the vaccine. Save your money! Times change, people change. To be fair, there were hoarders and citizenry not doing their part during the war, but their numbers were tiny compared to the 1 in 5 so-called "American Patriots" who will not get this life saving vaccine. After leasing their brains and common sense to Fox news and the antivaxxers, they will be the herd stupidity that will keep us from reaching herd immunity and will be responsible for all the deaths from this virus in the future. Hopefully those deaths will mainly be GOP voters. You'll never convince the stupid or reason with the insane. This truly is a sad time for our divided America.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is that I got the first shot in the left arm too but, going for the second shot, I asked the nurse to inject me in the right arm "for a change". She would not, telling me she and her peers were instructed to stystematically inject the vaccine in the left arm. I obviously asked "What's the reason?" but she couldn't say anything else than "Both injections are to be made in the left arm, as per protocol."
ReplyDeletePeople hiding their lack of questioning things behind words such as 'protocol' or 'procedure' usually tend to get me off hinge, but that nurse was perspiring kindness and honesty so I remained a gentleman.
Anyway, these illustrations are great. Both vivid and amusingly reminiscent of the communist propagand'art.
I just wonder if the artist has thought that each of them could be unfortunately hijacked in a very easy way by those anti-vaccine dumbsters.
