1922 Wills Sainte Claire
1939 Buick
1953 Austin Metropolitan
1963 Sting Ray
2004 Lotec Sirius
The Austin Metropolitan looks like the old Sunbeam... Maybe the same thing???
ReplyDeletewhkattk - That, I don't know. I've known that little car only as a Metropolitan.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!!!!!! That sting ray reeks of style!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere IS the style anymore in car todays????
1939 Buick - so very classy - for sheer elegance have a look at the 1947 Buick Estate Wagon -
ReplyDeleteMistress Maddie - Style is for the wealthy.
ReplyDeletejsstrand - I looked; I liked; I captured a few.
ReplyDeleteMistress Maddie, totally agree that the styling on the Stingray was a design coup. That split rear window is a winner. Having watched many hours of Mecum Car Auctions, I can tell you that the Ray is known as a restomod (restored, modified). The giveaways are the amber taillights(would have originally been dual reds) and the low profile 20?inch tires. Some guys with big bucks spend thousands on upgrades to interiors, engines, exterior paint to make these beauties even more beautiful. To me, yes, something made of sheet metal or fiberglass can be a sex object. Still waiting to see my 1976 Monte Carlo and 1982 Firebird SE at one of those auctions.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - You really know your cars!
