In Canada no need to «register» on every elections.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as your 18yo you're automaticaly registered on ALL election levels.
Contrary to USA, we don't have real «parenthood» between federal, provincial and city parties. We also don't elect our police chiefs or judges. Those and specially judges can never tell their political ideology on any level of courts.
For the guns, Ottawa is now prohibiting ALL leathal mass destruction riffles like AK47 or other riffles with multi bullets magasine.
What is sad is that all the illegal weapons are coming from USA.
We are really not fans of guns here.
We like better put our money in things of peace and universal health care etc.
Great info, but checking “fabulous” seems little weird. Love you blog.

JiEL - We don't need to register for every election either. But if we change our address we have to let the office know. I wish our government could at least get military-style weapons off the streets.
ReplyDeletePaul - That's a very good point, I'll see about adding a third choice. I'm glad you like my blog.
Thank you for the info on registration.
ReplyDeleteBut all over the internet or on TV, many are saying to Americans: don't forget to register to be able to vote.
Here too when you move to another place you have to say it to the officer of the voting system.
JiEL - I think people are reminding people to register if they haven't done so. It's not done automatically like Canada. Which is too bad.
