Would you happen to know about #3? I can't help wondering if that actually got built somewhere.
ReplyDeleteChris A - I just did a Google Image search and couldn't find anything, sorry. I assumed it was a painting of a real place.
ReplyDeleteIt may be that it is a fictional design
ReplyDeleteXersex - Quite possible.
ReplyDelete@Chris: same as Rick, nothing popped up in the search engine.
ReplyDeleteEither it is part of an architect's project like there was so many indulging themselves (and their newly wealthy clients) during the 19th century.
Or it could also be a remaining engraving of a "castle" that no longer exists, like so many others (hence the lack of pics in google).
Anyway, its pseudo medieval architecture is funny -if not pleasant- at first sight. Typically 19th.
