I live in Alberta Canada and the Conservative Government years ago deregulated electricity and prices skyrocketed! Our wind turbines and solar work here unlike the lies that Gov.Abott says about theirs! The Conservative and the United Conservative Party here are like the Republicans!š

I'm in Montreal and our hydro electricity is produced and managed by our provincial society, Hydro QuƩbec, and is the cheapest and most ecological power procuced. We are selling our electricity to USA north east states and to other Canada provinces too.
What I'm not quite in phase with you is that when you pair USA conservatives to the Canadian ones that is a bit not accurate.
I have a gay couple friends of mine from Delaware that are, sadly, Republicans on the real meaning of the kind of «Retrumplicans».
What the «Retrumlicans» and Republicans are is far away of a conservative of Canada. They are more «regressive».
Americans are afraid of «liberals» and see the Democrate party as a far left party while to the rest of the world and Canada, Democrates are just «left of the right». If Democrate party would be in Canada, it'll just be a bit left to our own federal Conservative Party.
More now with the new leader, O'Tool, he is making a left shift to our Conservative party putting LGBTQ rights and abortion main stream to his party.
Politic in Canada is so far from what is going on in USA that comparaison is not easy.
JiEL- If you lived in Alberta you would see the problems the Conservatives have done!
Luv Chocolate- I can understand you because I spent one year teaching in Ontario and that was enough for me to have experienced the narrow minded of people there.
I think Alberta is more in phase with your south of the border neighbors.
Province of QuƩbec is a unique province if compare to others. Our French style of living is very appealing for those who wants to immigrate here or visit a little part of France in America.
I live in Montreal and my city is the best one to live as a gay man and more.
I just heard on the news that there is Texan that had the surprise to recieve a $16 000 US bill for his one month of electricity during this breakout.
If it's true, that is outrageous.
We have some cold winters here in Montreal and this year wasn't that cold but more than in Texas.
What I pay on my electricity bills that are spread monthly is $123 Can.
More, as I go on the internet Hydro Quebec to see my account I saw that when the schedule revision of my power consumation, they owe me a credit of $104 Can.
After next September my electricity bill will be reduced.
JiEL - I've only seen headlines about those outrageous bills, but not read the article. It's my hope that it's some kind of computer error or something. I have experience with your kind of "equal pay" (that's what it's called here), spread over the year and then averaged, and sometimes a credit is given.
