  1. I'm a bird watcher for almost all my life and this post is very beautiful.

I also put some kind of mangers outside my place and have lot of nice bird like the Cardinal even if I live in downtown Montreal. We have lot of trees and there is a nice park in front of my place that helps.

Did nice pics too and the Blue Jay is on I saw in my manger.

  3. I'll leave the comments on the blokes for another time and concentrate on the birds this time. Really enjoy your bird posts, such unique an colorful creatures. I've been backyard birding for years, keeping them well fed during the winter. During our heavy snow last week, I watched these birds join me for their meals throughout the day: Chickadees, house finches, sparrows, wrens, goldfinches, juncos, varied thrushes, robins, stellar jays, mourning doves, turtle doves, rufous sided towhee, starlings, 3 crows and of course, my hummingbirds. That day was a good one for me.

  5. Incredible photos. I love Owls. They are just the coolest thing since turtles and meerkats.

  7. The owl is called in French «Harfang des neiges» (Snow owl) and it's the national bird of our province of Quebec.
Saw some fly around and perched on light poles too.
He's well kown to have a very silent flight to catch rodens in the fields.
