Someone has to explain to me why so many people are afraid of the dark an yet remain as much fond of their own religious obscurantism...

ReplyDeleteI think that, to American people, obscurantism might be more relevant as to the era of the Salem bigots and the persecutions that came with.
As in many religions, their faith is blinding them from what is really going on in the REAL world.

Fabulous all. I used to sit in church and wonder what exactly we were to learn looking a the bloody beaten body of a malnourished hippy tacked to a couple of pieces of wood... it felt violent and threatening, and so there was always a disconnect there that I could not reconcile.
