  1. Rick, this post covers what I'm feeling now. I felt confident that a large majority of us would critically view the past 4 years and do the right thing. I gave the country credit where obviously credit was not due. People have ceded the right to think and reason for themselves. How can they think a blowhard millionaire would have their best interest at heart? It's all too mind boggling. My faith in the people of our country is forever shattered. The dumbing-down of America began 4 years ago and continues. Joe may still pull this off, but the damage has been done. So sad for us tonight.

  2. I think that politics, a bit in crisis everywhere, with a few exceptions, has made a joke of horrid taste in the USA. like a surrealistic and grotesque action. But now I hope this joke is over as soon as possible.

  3. Milleson - I'm confident that Biden will win the presidency. However, the Senate is a huge disappointment. One has to wonder what has happened to the electorate.

Xersex - Yes, America is not alone in political crisis. It's very surreal everywhere.

  4. It's looking a bit better this morning.

The saddest realization: Almost 70,000,000 people have shown us they ARE him. This has now put a permanent rift even in our immediate family. We will have nothing more to do with them.

  6. I'm in Britain and watching what's happening to the USA with incredulity ... but then I'm in a country that fell for Boris Johnson and his bullshit - so never underestimate people's stupidity.
