Gentlemen, make no mistake. The proverbial "s**t" is about to hit the fan. McConnell and his cronies will push this nomination through at all cost. No more United States of America. We are living in the divided states of trump. Prepare yourselves. This will be the ugliest and darkest 4 month period in our American history. We deserve better. RBG, a lovely woman, a national treasure. She tried to go the distance but her frail body couldn't help her this time. Blessings for her.

She will be so missed. Is missed. Chins up. We will be alright.

Anon - I really have a lot of fear for our country right now.

uptonking - I wish I had your optimism, but I don't. Not now.

Rick, we tend to fear the unknown. This court appointee is a known. We have to accept it and move ahead. The one variable that will change this mess is if 4 to 6 republican senators will grow a pair (women included) and not let this happen. And in my deranged optimism I can see this happening. Another long shot is something called "packing the Supreme Court". An interesting read. As uptonking says, "chins up". this may be the time to get in battle dress again and enter this war on human rights being waged by the conservatives. keep good thoughts my friends.

Anon - Yes, I'm hoping for enough reasonable repugs to grow gonads and stop this mess in its tracks. If not that, then packing the court is a good option, although not an easy one. Thanks.

Interesting conversation between you all. I take some words: Blessings for her.
-She will be so mised.
-Keep good thoughts, my friends.
- I have a lot of fear for our country.

Wonderful words in memory of this extraordinary woman that you, american citizens, had the chance to have her in the Supreme Court.
I wish all the best for you.
To have fear for your country is to love your country, Ricky. But try don't have it, because you'll go on loving your country.
From Spain, hugs for all of you.
Henri.
