2020.0517.0004...
Today is the 40th Anniversay
of the eruption of Mount St. Helens
I was living in Seattle when this happened, 174 miles to the north.
Even that far away the ash got on our cars.
I vividly remember seeing this on the TV here in England as a 9 year old. Back in the year 2000 I visited Seattle and Washington state, and was amazed at the state of the devastation even after 20 years. It's going to be one big shit storm when Yosemite decides to blow! DanUK
Anon - You are absolutely correct about the shit storm that would happen, but I'm sure you meant Yellowstone. As if we didn't have enough to worry about already.
I was stationed in San Diego. At the time, my ship was in the Indian Ocean. Had an aunt living in Grants Pass Or.

ReplyDeleteImpressive images of an impressive payssage. Dangerous day for people living there or near, like you, Ricky. Hugs, my friend. Henri.
