  1. Is that carving for real....and where?
If real, it is a abhorrence and who on this Earth authorised it's inception?

  2. bob bert - Yes, unfortunately, it's real and has quite a story. Google it and you'll find it's actually famous with a bit of infamous history.

  4. Hi...
I am sorry if I offend anyone here, but that carving to me is well out of order, for me just on the grounds of defacing an obviously beautiful natural granite monolith, and that it shouldn't have been allowed.
I read and understand it has aroused some 'sensitive' emotions due to its design too, setting those to one side alone and how ever much it is greatly carved....and I know you cannot and shouldn't erase history to suit current thinking, but it'd be akin now to carving something 'British Colonial' into Uluru in The Northern Territory of Oz!

  5. bobbert - I totally understand and agree with you! While it has some "artistic" qualities, defacing that beautiful granite was deplorable. My first thought when seeing it likened it to vandalism.
