Vintage photos taken by the EPA reveal what America looked like before pollution was regulated
Right now, administrator Scott Pruitt is working to roll back a number of rules that were previously put in place to protect air and water. Pruitt has announced plans to kill the Clean Power Plan, the Obama administration's main initiative to fight climate change by lowering emissions.
Under Pruitt, the EPA has also reversed a ban on a pesticide that can harm children's brains and moved to rescind the Clean Water Rule, which clarified the Clean Water Act to prohibit industries from dumping pollutants into streams and wetlands.
Many reports suggest that Pruitt's primary aim is to eliminate most environmental protections and dismantle parts of the regulatory agency.

ReplyDelete"Climate change" is a hoax. There's no need whatsoever to reduce CO2 "emissions," much less to spend billions of dollars doing so. CO2 is a beneficial gas, necessary for practically all plant life. If its proportion of the atmosphere doubled it would still be less than one tenth of one percent of atmospheric gases -- and plant life would thrive tremendously

ReplyDeleteBack in the 1950's and 1960's smog was so bad in Los Angeles that your eyes would water, and your lungs would hurt to breath after walking for 15 minutes. Thank God for pollution controls and environmental regulations. :)
ReplyDeleteAnon@5:22pm - It was very bad back then.
