By request, a few more turn-of-the-century house plans.
All plans are kits sold by different companies, although I'm not sure about this first one.
I didn't get a year for this, but it appears to be the oldest of the bunch.
Both of these next two were available around 1918. (You can right-click on a picture and open it in a new window to get a closer look.)
Circa. 1925
I didn't get a year on this Sears house. While I prefer smaller, one-story houses, this one is laid out very well and the rooms are large.
Notice that putting in a foundation is extra, as is heating and plumbing. Nothing is said of electricity.
The website from which I captured these is HERE. It's a little tricky to navigate, but lots of fun. Although, after a while, a lot of the plans begin to look alike.
THANK you for giving us more Rick - and thanks for the web site they came from! Can't seem to get enough of this right now. Just give us a little of this now & then and I won't whine anymore about the Trump crap. 😊
ReplyDeleteHoward - You are very welcome!
ReplyDeleteI have lived in an apartment all my life. So these homes are fascinating/fantasy type things. So much more spacious than what I am used to. Do manufacturers today offer house kits today?
ReplyDeleteBUT, it is important to keep track and expose the Lier-In-Chief. So,the more Trump Crap the merrier!
And naked guys, of course!
Chris - I don't know about kits these days; the closest, I guess, would be manufactured homes that can be brought to a site, ready to set on a foundation.
ReplyDeleteThe first one looks like the Addams Family house from TV! :D
