Post-11477...

Even though my mind tends to dwell on the negative,
I try to be positive. If I hadn't tested HIV+ 31 years ago,
my life would have taken a different course,
and I never would have met Jerry.
How's that for being positive?

  1. Add that to the fact that you are writing about it nearly 4 decades later. My best to you both- today and always.

  2. Good to hear you have kept a positive attitude. Chronic illnesses are the most difficult to bear because we know it will never go away.

The infection rates are rising in Southern states like Mississippi, Missouri, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Even though medications have found ways to make this a "manageable disease," it's not good. Today, on World AIDS Day, we must strive to improve the mindset of safe sex.
