Post-1845...
I just noticed that a few pix I posted earlier have changed to that black box with the odd symbol in the middle. I have no idea why that happened. Perhaps it's got something to do with Blogger's "updated interface," which I've chosen NOT to use. I just don't know. Any suggestions for another hosting site that's EASY to understand and work with? / Update: I just went to Gay Dreams And Hopes to capture his latest post, and a couple of those pix opened as that black box with the odd symbol. WTF is going on?!?

Rick, I just noticed something that could be a little worrying about all this...it could be nothing to be concerned about and its just some Google interface, but here goes..I saw in a book published earlier this year that some religious cult [??] uses this very symbol. It appears [ I say only appears, as theres no actual conformation to this ] that they are posting images on the net with this symbol 'imbedded' so when you try to post it on a blog, the symbol comes up instead. Apparently this is their way of erasing porn from the net [ that'll be a long fucking job, then!].
I dont know if any of this is true, or even relevant. It could just be a 'glitch' on the blogs or a virus or something. How odd tho, as I distinctly recall seeing this symbol [ it was in green and black, not white and black as posted here ] a few months ago.
How very frustrating for everyone concerned, all the same!

Karl - Neither your comment nor Greg's made it to my inbox the way they're supposed to. That's an oddness that's been going on for a long time. Now, about this thing that you describe: Insidious!! You're right that it'll be a long fucking job for them if that's the case! Thanks for the info.

Ive noticed we have a traffic sign [here in England] just like this symbol; its shown at a road fatality. Does this symbol hint at that? If so thats creepy...just have to hope that this is merely a malfunction on Google/Bloggers part and nothing more sinister than that.
Okay, Ive done a bit of checking, and it seems this is a 'cease and desist' thing from Picassa and Google. The help forums are inundated from other blog owners wondering whats going on; the symbol is a STOP sign.
Google and Picassa are working on some new thing, so its not some religious nut after all[ phew! ]...no, just Google up to some new tricks[!].
Karl - Thank you VERY MUCH for your investigation!! This morning when my blog (and others) was a black screen I figured I'd been zapped, that's why there were no posts today. So it's their "new and improved" (yeah, right) system having some bugs?
